Professor Arjen Dondorp

Arjen Dondorp trained as an infectious diseases and intensive care physician in the Netherlands. He is a Professor of Tropical Medicine at the University of Oxford, U.K., and a visiting Professor of Clinical Tropical Medicine at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. Prof Dondorp is the Deputy Director and Head of Malaria Research at the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit in Bangkok, Thailand and chairs the Technical Expert Group on Antimalarial Drug Resistance and Containment for the World Health Organization.

Dr Harris is a SpR in Anaesthesia/ICM in the North Central London Anaesthesia rotation. He has completed his PhD in the trajectory of critical illness at UCL (LSHTM and ICNARC). He has a major interest in the critically unwell patient in resource poor settings. He has been an unwavering supporter in recognising the necessity for such a process in developing countries.
