Overview

The Immediate Life Support (ILS) course provides nurses with the essential skills and knowledge to treat adult patients in cardiorespiratory arrest for the short time before the arrival of a hospital resuscitation team or more experienced assistance (like ALS). 2. Allows the trainees to receive hands on experience in essential skills in ILS without posing a risk to patient safety.
  3. This can be used as a tool that enables acquisition of practical knowledge, skills and attitudes to increase competence and preparedness to deal with an emergency.

Learning outcomes
